Wrecks hide the best blueprints. Here is every major wreck location, what you can scan there, and the depth you need to reach each one.

TL;DR — What You'll Learn
  • The Old Habitat wreck has the Room and Sonic Resonator blueprints. This is your first major wreck dive.
  • Cicada Wreck in The Hole has rare fragments. Hug the walls. The Great Jaw Leviathan patrols the center.
  • Karakorum wrecks have Modification Station and endgame blueprints. Bring the Tadpole with Depth Module.

Subnautica 2 wreck locations

Wrecks are scattered across the map. Each one has blueprints you cannot get anywhere else. Here is where they are and what you find inside.

Coral Gardens wrecks

Old Habitat wreck (20-60m)

The most important early-game wreck. Scan these before going deeper:

  • Room blueprint (build actual bases, not Lifepod shacks)
  • Sonic Resonator fragments (clear Bloom Cankers, mine large nodes)
  • Habitat Builder fragments (you need 2 to unlock it)

East-southeast of the Lifepod. Look for ruined alien structures.

Cicada Wreck (100m+)

Inside The Hole. Hug the walls. The Great Jaw Leviathan sits in the center. Scan Lithium nodes on the way down. The wreck itself has rare fragments you cannot find in shallower wrecks.

Shallows wrecks (10-30m)

Small wrecks near the Lifepod. Scan Tadpole fragments here. You need 3 to unlock the Tadpole. Check south, southwest, and east-northeast of the Lifepod.

Karakorum wrecks

Observatory wreck (140m)

Near the Axum Observatory. Scan the Modification Station blueprint here. This is your #1 priority in Karakorum. Do not explore deeper without it.

Alien Ruins wreck (200m+)

Near the Power Plant. Scan Celestine and Conduit Crystal nodes nearby. The wreck itself has endgame blueprints.

Wreck diving tips

  • Bring a spare battery. Scanning drains your Scanner fast.
  • Bring beacons. Mark every wreck you find. You will come back.
  • Check every room. Some blueprints are hidden behind oxygen puzzles.
  • If a wreck is too deep, come back later. Dying for a blueprint is not worth it.
