There are 7 official maps, each with its own hiding meta. Plus hundreds more on the Steam Workshop. Here's every official map, ranked easiest to hardest for hiders:

1. Hide-and-Seek Mansion

The classic. A sprawling Victorian mansion packed with rooms, furniture, and decorations. The most cluttered map, perfect for creative hiders.

| Spot | Technique | |------|-----------| | Library bookshelves | Crouch between book spines. Match the wood grain and book colors. Paint darker stripes to simulate book edges. | | Ceiling pillars | Climb to the ceiling and lie flat along a pillar. Most seekers never look up here. | | Horse statue | Hide inside or on top of the statue. Paint as the horse, bronze/copper tones with metallic slider up. | | Kitchen wall | Press against wall posters and replicate the design. Match the exact poster colors with the eyedropper. | | Bathroom tiles | Crouch in a corner where walls meet. • Check behind the front door, it's the #1 noob trap.
• Scan under the pool table in the game room.
• The chandelier and ceiling moldings are popular vertical spots.

2. Indoor Country

A bright, farm-themed map with hay bales, pumpkins, animal cutouts, and a barn. Smaller than Mansion but more open.

3. Sewer

Dark, industrial, and gritty. Low lighting means color matching is less critical, texture and silhouette matter more here.

Match the rusted metal texture (high roughness, medium metallic). | | Side lockers | Hide inside open lockers. Paint to match the dark interior. |

Seeker Tips for This Map

• Use the shotgun muzzle flash to light up dark pipes.
• Graffiti walls are popular, check them carefully but don't spend all round there.

4. Backrooms

Liminal office space aesthetic. Sparse, repetitive, and unsettling. You have fewer objects to hide among, so perfect camouflage is essential.

5. Penguin Hotel

The best map for hiders. Dense, multi-room, stuffed with penguin plushies, curtains, furniture, and decorations. Hunters have a nightmare here.

You'll look like another plushie. | | White curtains | Paint yourself to match the curtains hanging between pillars. Go high, hunters rarely check above eye level. | | Ballroom rafters | Hide in the rafters next to balloons in the grand ballroom. | | Under the beds | In the bedroom section, slide under a bed and match the floor shadow. | | Second floor hallway | Use the tables, statues, and large dice blocks for cover. |

6. Osaka

The newest and smallest map. A tight Japanese city street with shops, signs, trucks, and octopus decorations. exposed, you need clever positioning.

Low to the ground spots are overlooked. | | Overhead signs | Climb onto shop signs above street level. The large Octopus wall decoration is a popular but effective anchor. | | Open shops | Blend into side walls, metal fans, or stacked crates inside the small shops. | | Trash piles | Hide among trash bags and discarded items near the alley. |

7. Sugar Land

A bright, colorful candy-themed map. Lollipops, gingerbread houses, chocolate fountains, and gumdrop mountains. The bright palette makes color matching easy but visibility is high.

Universal Hiding Rules for All Maps

1. Hide where there's visual clutter. Empty walls are death traps.
2. Use height. Most seekers scan at eye level. Ceilings, rafters, and high corners are blind spots.
3. Break your silhouette with poses. Your shape matters more than your color.
4. Rotate spots every round. Don't let veterans learn your patterns.
5. Check all angles before the hunt phase. Use free cam (4) to inspect your disguise from every direction.
