Proteus Map, Two Major Regions
Subnautica 2 currently has two main regions in Early Access. You start in the safe Coral Gardens and eventually venture into the deep, hostile Karakorum.
Coral Gardens (Starting Region, 0-150m)
Your home for the first 10-15 hours. Safe, abundant resources, gradually increasing danger.
Shallows (0-20m)
Your spawn biome. Safe, bright, full of Titanium, Copper, and Quartz.

The entry hub of Karakorum. Central, safe.
