Palworld 1.0 Raid Guide : How to Beat Every Wave & Best Raid Team Comps
The 1.0 raid system is wave-based and harder than anything in Early Access. Here is how to prepare, which Pals to bring, and how to survive every wave.
- •Raids are wave-based in 1.0. Each wave gets harder. You need a dedicated raid team, not just your exploration crew.
- •Elemental coverage matters. Bring at least one Pal of each major type to handle wave variety.
- •Build raid bases with defensive walls, mounted weapons, and healing stations near the Palbox.

Raids in 1.0 are not the random enemy attacks from Early Access. They are structured, wave-based fights that scale up. You will lose the first one if you go in with your exploration team. Here is how to prepare.
Raid mechanics
Raids trigger at your base. Enemies attack in waves. Each wave is stronger than the last. You defend until all waves are cleared or your Palbox is destroyed.
Between waves you get a short window to heal Pals, repair structures, and reposition. Use it. Do not waste the window looting.
Best raid team composition
Bring Pals with these roles:
- 2 tanks (high HP, taunt or aggro skills)
- 3 damage dealers (elemental coverage: fire, ice, electric, ground, dark)
- 1 healer or support (Pal with team healing or buff Partner Skill)
Spread elements across your damage dealers. Waves bring mixed types. If all your damage is fire and wave 3 is all water types, you wipe.
Raid base setup
Build a dedicated raid base. This is not your main base. It is a combat outpost.
Essentials:
- Defensive walls in a ring around the Palbox
- Mounted weapons (machine gun, missile launcher) facing the main approach
- Healing station near the Palbox
- Feed Box stocked with high-quality food
- Beds for rapid Pal recovery between waves
Place the base somewhere flat with good sightlines. Hills and forests block your mounted weapons.
Top raid Pals
| Pal | Role | Why | |-----|------|-----| | Jetragon | Damage | Fastest, strongest Dragon type. Outspeeds everything. | | Frostallion Noct | Tank/Damage | High HP, ice damage, crowd control. | | Shadowbeak | Damage | Dark type nuke. Devastating single target. | | Bellanoir Libero | Healer | Team healing on Partner Skill. Saves runs. | | Blazamut Ryu | Damage | Fire type AoE. Clears waves. |
