Palworld 1.0 Best Food & Cooking Guide : What to Feed Your Pals
Hungry Pals work slower and eventually stop. Here is what to cook, the best recipes for every stage, and how to automate your food supply.
- •Berries work for the first hour. After that, cook real food. Baked Berries are better than raw. Jam Buns are better than Baked Berries.
- •Put a Foxparks at your base. It handles Kindling automatically. Without one, you cook everything by hand.
- •Salad is the best late-game food. Boosts work speed. Keep a Lettuce and Tomato plantation running.

Hungry Pals work slower. Then they stop working. Then they get sick. Your base falls apart because nobody is cooking. Here is how to never run out of food.
Early game: Berries → Baked Berries
Plant a Berry Plantation the moment you can. Berries are the most efficient early food. They grow fast. They require almost no setup.
Cook them. Raw Berries restore almost nothing. Baked Berries restore more. Put a Foxparks at your base so it cooks automatically. Without a Kindling Pal, you stand at the campfire pressing F.
Mid game: Jam Buns → Pancakes
Jam Buns need flour and berries. Flour comes from wheat. Wheat Plantation at level 15. Buns restore more hunger and take longer to spoil.
Pancakes need flour and milk. Milk comes from Mozzarina. Better than Buns. Both keep your Pals fed through the mid game.
Late game: Salad
Salad is the best all-around food. Lettuce and Tomato. Both grow in plantations. Salad boosts work speed. Your Pals work faster and stay fed longer. Set up two plantations side by side. Automate the cooking with a high-level Kindling Pal.
Food for combat
Cooked meat restores the most hunger. Bring it on boss fights and raids. Do not feed your combat team berries. They will be hungry again in five minutes.
Automate everything
The Feed Box is where Pals eat. Fill it. A Foxparks or other Kindling Pal does the cooking. A Watering Pal keeps the crops alive. A Planting Pal puts seeds in the ground. You do nothing except harvest and refill the Feed Box.
