Palworld 1.0 Best Base Locations : Where to Build in Sunreach, World Tree & More
Base building changed in 1.0. Water bases, new Sunreach locations, and the Aquatic Construction Kit. Here are the best spots for your main base and mining outposts.

- •Sunreach floating islands are the best endgame base locations. Soralite deposits, flat terrain, scenic views.
- •Keep one mining outpost in the World Tree zone for Radiant Gems and one main base wherever you like the view.
Your first base still goes in the starting area
Flat ground. Near trees, stone, and at least a few ore nodes. Do not overthink this. You will build more bases later. The first one just needs to work.
Second base: mining outpost near dense ore
At base level 10, drop your second Palbox near a cluster of ore nodes. Staff it with Incinerams or other Mining Pals. Add one Hot Spring and one Feed Box. Walk away. Come back to stacks of ingots.
The World Tree zone has the densest ore and Soralite deposits. If you can survive there, build there.
Water bases are real now
The Aquatic Construction Kit lets you build on water. Find a lake near resources and you have flat, defensible terrain with no terrain clipping issues. Water bases are easier to lay out than hillside bases. The downside is that some Pals have pathfinding issues near water edges. Test with cheap Pals before committing.
Sunreach floating islands: the endgame spot
Sunreach has flat, open floating islands with Soralite deposits, good weather, and absurd views. This is where you build your final main base. The islands are high up, which means raids are less frequent and easier to defend. Flying mounts become essential for commuting.
Base layout priorities for 1.0
New structures added in 1.0 change the optimal layout:
- Pal beds closer to workstations (reduces walking time)
- Feed Box in a central location (all Pals path to it)
- Hot Springs near mining and logging stations (hard labor Pals need them more)
- New roof options let you enclose production areas (better for organization)
- Berry Plantations near the Feed Box (shortest supply chain)
