Best Weapons in Palworld 1.0 : What to Craft First & Upgrade Priority
Your starter weapons are garbage. Here is exactly what to craft first, what to skip, and the upgrade order that saves the most resources in Palworld 1.0.
- •Skip the Stone Spear. Rush the Three-Shot Bow. Then the single-shot rifle. Skip everything in between.
- •The Musket hits harder than the single-shot rifle but reloads forever. Only use it if your aim is perfect.
- •The Assault Rifle is the endgame. You need level 45 and a lot of Polymer. Do not waste resources on sidegrades.

Your starter weapons are terrible. The Stone Spear does no damage and the Old Bow takes forever to draw. Here is what to craft, in what order, so you do not waste resources on things you will replace in three levels.
Skip the Stone Spear
Craft it for the tutorial if the game forces you. Never use it again. It does almost no damage. The only thing a Stone Spear is good for is making you wish you had a better weapon.
Rush the Three-Shot Bow
Unlocks at level 10. Fires three arrows at once. This is your primary weapon from level 10 until about level 25. The damage per shot is not amazing but the burst fire makes up for it. Use it for everything.
Materials: 30 Wood, 15 Stone, 10 Fiber. Cheap. Craft it the moment you hit level 10.
The Musket is a trap
Unlocks at level 21. Hits like a truck. Reloads like one too. The Musket does more damage per shot than anything until the endgame, but the reload time means you fire about once every four seconds. If you miss, you are standing there like an idiot while a Pal mauls you.
Only craft the Musket if your aim is perfect. Otherwise, stick with the Three-Shot Bow until you can get the single-shot rifle.
Single-shot rifle at level 31
This is your mid-game weapon. Reliable. Accurate. Good damage. Better than the Musket because it does not take an eternity to reload.
Materials: 20 Refined Ingot, 10 Polymer, 5 Carbon Fiber. Worth the grind. Craft it and use it until level 45.
Assault Rifle at level 45
The endgame. High fire rate, high damage, large magazine. This is what you want for raid bosses and legendary Pals. The materials are expensive: 40 Refined Ingot, 20 Polymer, 15 Carbon Fiber. Do not waste Polymer on sidegrades. Save it for this.
The handgun
Skip it. Unlocks at level 25. Does less damage than the Three-Shot Bow and costs more. There is never a reason to craft the handgun.
