Glitched Matrix (Easiest)
The only skin that doesn't require any actual gameplay. It's hidden entirely in the UI.
How to Unlock
- Go to the Settings menu from the main screen.
- handle to the Graphics tab.
- Set every single graphics option to its lowest possible value.
- Close and reopen the Settings menu three times.
- On the third reopen, a hidden option labeled
[MATRIX]appears at the bottom. - Toggle
[MATRIX]to ON. - Return to the main menu, the Glitched Matrix skin is now available in your character customization.
Why this works: It's an easter egg referencing "glitching the system" by setting everything to minimum. The devs hid it as a reward for players who need to run the game on potato PCs.
Mecha-Titanium Hazard (Medium)
This one requires collecting hidden data pads across the Industrial Foundry map.
Data Pad Locations
Search for glowing orange tablets in these areas:
| # | Location Detail | |---|----------------| | 1 | Beneath the large industrial pipe system on the lower level | | 2 | Inside a locker in the locker room section | | 3 | On top of the conveyor belt machinery | | 4 | Behind hydraulic equipment near the back wall | | 5 | Elevated structure, requires wall climbing to reach |
Collect all 5 fragments (they don't need to be in a single match). After collecting the last one, you'll receive an encrypted message with the final unlock clue: interact with the main control panel in the center of the Foundry for 10 seconds.
Neon Specter (Hard)
This skin requires completing a hidden combat challenge in the Neo-Tokyo Grid area, without taking any damage.
How to Unlock
- Enter any match on a map with the Neo-Tokyo Grid section.
- Find a specific balcony near the elevated food district, it's marked by a flickering neon sign.
- Interact with the neon signs in this exact color order: Blue → Pink → Green → Blue → Yellow. One mistake resets the sequence.
- A hidden door opens to a zone called "Endless Alley."
- Inside, you'll face a retro-inspired combat encounter. You must survive without taking a single hit.
- Complete the encounter, and Neon Specter unlocks.
Tips
- Use wall climbing to evade attacks, the ceiling in Endless Alley has safe zones.
- The combat is pattern-based. Learn the attack rhythm before going for the no-hit run.
- Bring a friend to distract enemies (only one player needs to survive hitless).
Retro Pixel Chameleon (Very Hard)
Arguably the most frustrating skin. You must complete three challenges in a single match:
- Ghost, Remain completely undetected for an extended period (approximately 3+ minutes of hunt phase).
- Sharpshooter, Land a long-range elimination as a Seeker (across at least half the map).
- Flawless, Finish the round with full health and no deaths.
Strategy
- Play on Penguin Hotel, it's the best map for staying hidden.
- For the Sharpshooter requirement, wait until you're a Seeker in a round where a Hider is in an obvious elevated position. Don't rush the shot.
- This may take many attempts. Don't get discouraged.
Prismatic Overlord (Legendary, The Rarest Skin)
The ultimate status symbol in Meccha Chameleon. Requires a coordinated team.
How to Unlock
- Assemble a team of at least 4 players with high combined levels.
- Go to the community hub area.
- Solve an activation puzzle, each player must stand on a specific pressure plate in the correct order. The plates glow faintly when stepped on.
- This summons a hidden boss encounter featuring:
- Large-scale dodge mechanics
- Puzzle-solving sections
- Team coordination phases
- Shield-breaking objectives
- Multi-stage combat
- Defeat the boss to unlock the skin.
Finding a Team
- Use the Meccha Chameleon Discord server to find groups attempting the Prismatic Overlord unlock.
- The boss fight is designed for 4+ players, solo is impossible.
