GTA 6 Trailer 3 : Expected Release Date, What It Will Show & Why Rockstar Is Waiting

Why Trailer 3 did not launch with pre-orders

Rockstar already has your pre-order money. Trailer 3 will be used later to bring back people who forgot they pre-ordered, and to reach people who have not paid attention yet.
When is it coming
The most cited window is mid-to-late July. The World Cup final on July 19 gets mentioned a lot as a global event to anchor the trailer to. Rockstar recently removed the pre-order banner from its website, which some read as the first marketing phase ending and the second one starting.
Take-Two's next earnings call is August 7. If Trailer 3 is not out by then, investors will ask why.
What will be in it
Trailers 1 and 2 were cinematic. Trailer 3 needs to be different. Millions of people have pre-ordered without seeing any gameplay. The pressure for actual footage is massive.

- Extended story scenes with Jason and Lucia
- A first look at driving, combat, and the HUD
- Leonida beyond Vice City (Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Keys)
- Possibly a release window for the PC version
Keep expectations in check. Rockstar has never shown raw gameplay in a numbered trailer. But the circumstances this time are different. Nobody pre-ordered GTA V without seeing gameplay. GTA 6 already has billions in pre-orders. The company owes buyers a look at what they bought.
What Trailer 3 will not show
GTA Online 2.0. Rockstar has been completely silent on multiplayer. Do not expect a single frame of Online in Trailer 3. That will be its own marketing cycle, probably after the single-player launch.
