TL;DR — What You'll Learn
  • GTA Online 2.0 expected weeks after launch. Rockstar job listings hint at dedicated servers and a Creator Platform.
  • Story DLC is unlikely based on Rockstar's history. GTA V never got single-player DLC.
  • PC version expected 12-18 months after console launch. GTA V was 19 months. RDR2 was 13 months.

GTA 6 DLC roadmap

GTA Online 2.0

Not at launch. Rockstar described the game as single-player at launch. GTA V followed the same pattern. Online launched 2 weeks after the main game.

Job listings hint at dedicated servers and a Creator Platform similar to FiveM. 32+ player lobbies expected. The modern Vice City map will be the online playground.

PC version

No date confirmed. GTA V took 19 months. RDR2 took 13 months. Expect GTA 6 on PC between late 2027 and early 2028.

Story DLC

Unlikely. GTA V was supposed to get story DLC. It never happened. GTA Online makes too much money. Rockstar shifted all resources to Online content. Expect the same pattern here.
