Confirmed Activities

🎣 Fishing (New to GTA)

First time in GTA history. Fish at Gambit Bay and other water bodies. The Shitzu Squalo watercraft is equipped for fishing expeditions. Expect different fish species, sizes, and possibly a fishing challenge system, Rockstar pioneered this mechanic in Red Dead Redemption 2.

💰 Heists (Series Staple, Confirmed Returning)

Raul Bautista, a veteran bank robber, is your heist connection. He recruits Jason and Lucia for "big scores." Expect multi-stage planning, crew recruitment, and high-payout jobs, Rockstar perfected this formula in GTA V and it's almost expanded here.

🏚️ Gang Compound Raids

Assault gang hideouts (PTT Youngin$ compound confirmed), eliminate hostiles, and escape with contraband. This activity is part of the Ultimate Edition bonus content but likely available in the base game with different targets.

🚗 Classic Car Restoration (New Activity)

Collector Wyman gives you a "Special Commission", find abandoned classic cars hidden across Leonida, restore them to their former glory. Think Forza Horizon barn finds in GTA. Restored cars can be kept, sold, or used in races.

📦 Fencing Stolen Goods

Deposit stolen items at garages and safehouses, then sell to a fence. This implies a deeper crime economy, possibly the return of burglary missions from GTA: San Andreas. The '55 Vapid Stanier (pre-order bonus) specifically includes "stolen goods storage."

🤿 Scuba Diving & Underwater Exploration

Scuba gear is visible on the Shitzu Squalo. With the Leonida Keys and extensive coastline, underwater exploration, reefs, shipwrecks, hidden treasure, is expected to be a significant activity.

📱 In-Game Social Media

Your smartphone has a fully integrated social media system. Viral videos, influencer culture, and world events unfold through your phone. Characters like Real Dimez (influencer rap duo) suggest social media will be central to some missions.

🏎️ Street Racing

South Beach street races after 10 PM are confirmed. The Stockyard (Wynwood arts district) is another racing hub. Off-road Mud Club events (Thrillbilly Mud Club) involve the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy.

🎯 Hunting

Mount Kalaga National Park screenshots show wildlife (mountain lion, deer, boars). Hunting is a Rockstar staple since RDR1, expect it to return with Leonida's diverse wildlife.

📺 In-Game TV & Media

"Macca the Gator" is a confirmed watchable TV show. Phil Cassidy (from GTA: Vice City) also appears on TV, suggesting timeline connections between the 3D and HD universes. Expect multiple channels, shows, and possibly an in-game internet.

Chapter-Based Progression

GTA 6 uses a chapter system similar to Red Dead Redemption 2. Items, bonuses, and activities unlock progressively as the story advances. No instant pop-up unlocks, progression is "threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter."
