How Big Will GTA 6 Be? ~150-200 GB
Rockstar hasn't confirmed the exact size, but we can estimate based on their recent games:

GTA 6 has a map 1.5-2× larger than GTA V, 700+ interiors (vs ~150), 4K textures, and higher-fidelity assets. 150 GB is the minimum estimate. 200 GB is realistic.

With a 150-200 GB download, a 1 Gbps connection takes about 20-25 minutes. A 50 Mbps connection takes 7-8 hours. If your internet is slow, do not wait until launch day to start downloading.
How to Free Up Space Before November
On PS5:
- Settings → Storage → Console Storage → Games and Apps
- Delete games you haven't played in 6+ months
- Consider an internal M.2 SSD expansion (PS5 supports up to 4TB)
On Xbox Series X|S:
- My Games & Apps → Sort by size
- Delete games you've finished
- Seagate Storage Expansion Card or USB external drive for cold storage
Target: Free up at least 200 GB before November 12.
Physical Edition, Still a Download
The physical edition of GTA 6 contains a download code only, no disc. You will still need to download the full 150-200 GB. Buying physical does not save you storage space or download time.
